Re: MLB
I don’t put too much stock into what the Yankees did two days ago with all those HRs. Didn’t four of them come off Cortes, last seen throwing a meatball to a future HOFer with the bases loaded in the World Series?

My baby boy didn’t pick up a bat all winter and then had an abbreviated spring training, so if he’s telling the truth and his shoulders really don’t hurt, he’ll get his timing back eventually.Matters wrote:Devers 0/16 with 12 strikeouts…

Big surprise so far is the Braves down 0-5. The Padres are no slouches, though.
Keep on rockin’ in the free world.

de la Cruz used a torpedo bat last night and went 4-5 with 2 HR and 7 RBI.

A coworker of mine has Devers on his fantasy team, so this has made for great water cooler talk. He's not happy!Simple Torture wrote:Hey, thanks for the reminder.doug rr wrote:update: 0/19 with 15 strikeouts..Matters wrote:Devers 0/16 with 12 strikeouts…

Re: MLB
If he goes on the DL after the offseason of them saying that his shoulders are fine and that he didn't need surgery, I'm going to be pissed.
But, hey, at least the Sox extended Crochet!

Re: MLB
I’ve never heard of this before, but am wondering if it becomes more common: the Red Sox signed Crochet through 2030, and he can opt out after that season. However, it he misses 120 consecutive days with an arm injury the 2030 opt-out is voided AND the Sox have an option to pick up a 2032 club option for like half the AAV of the rest of the deal. Basically built-in TJ insurance.
