Finally, a match up that matters. There are certain songs I wish Stone song on (including one coming up - or just past depending on how the post sorting goes). I've probably never said that about a Jeff song. And yet, while I think both of these are fun, I'm voting for sweet lew. I admire its absurdity, and its less obvious brand of fun

I dig both of these songs. But Lew holds a very special place in my heart.

It's such a uniquely bizarre song. I love the specialness of Jeff of lead vocals. It's dopey subject matter but because there's genuine love in it on Jeff's part, the song becomes earnest and endearing. Nothing about the song should work but it always puts a smile on my face.wease wrote:Explainepilogue wrote:I dig both of these songs. But Lew holds a very special place in my heart.
Also, got it love once and it was a shared joyful moment among me and the fans in my section. We all had a blast with it.

Don't Gimme No Lip is probably the better song and deserves to win, but Lew gets my vote. I just love it.

A goofy two-minute quasi-rap song about an NBA player is about the only context that I can imagine Jeff's voice working for me. He's a solid dude but I just find his voice so incredibly unmusical.
That said, I still picked "Don't Gimme No Lip." I'd listen to Stone sing anything.
