I assume anything that comes off the non fat part of the bat is just a measly ground out. This thing is going to magnify the feast or famine approach at the plate that’s really hurting baseball.

Unfortunately, those days may be over. The US boycott is in full effect. You'll have to fill your own stadium now, Seattle!

When Devers-Bregman-Casas are hitting as intended, they’re like the ‘27 Yankees without the ALS.

I think Devers might have ALS actually.

Hate to break it to the haters and losers, but Devers is still good.

In the double header today:

5-9, HR, 2 2B, 5 RBI, 2 BB

Willie Adames will do that to you. Really liked his time with the Brewers.

Even though my Brewers were ambushed by torpedo bats (and a gruesome injury deficit in the starting pitching rotation), after reflection I think torpedo bats could change one thing for the positive. It'll incentivize location/spin over brute velocity in pitching. The ability to miss the barrel of the bat could become a premium and true pitching could see a revival. That wouldn't be all bad.

that said I wish every yankee torpedo bat were packed with actual torpedo explosives. I'd be willing to lose a few catchers in the resulting explosions.

When you add in that his last pitch of the 2024 season was Freddie's walk-off grand slam, I'm surprised Cortes didn't leap from the nearest tall bridge. Four pitches, four dingers. Oof.

Update: It was a cold and misty night game, but he still really enjoyed it. Our seats were in the 8th row with a perfect view of throws to first base. I've never sat that close at an MLB game so it was really fun to see all of the interactions between players and the officials. Kid got a hat and hasn't taken it off since.

Those are the best memories, M_D! most of my favorites growing up are going to games with my dad, grandfather, or uncles.
