Good primer/article on the tariffs:

This feels like conduct detrimental to the United States. Willfully enacting obscene tariffs with no rhyme or reason, knowing full well it would tank the stock market.
Like sabotage or something.

Re: The 47th POTUS - Donald J. Trump
Donald Trump has flashed one of his new Trump-themed “Gold Cards” to reporters aboard Air Force One.
“For $5 million this could be yours,” he said, holding up the card – which is, of course, adorned with his face and the words “The Trump Card”. “It will be out in about less than two weeks probably. Pretty exciting, right?”
Introduced by Mr Trump in February, the Gold Cards give wealthy foreign citizens the right to live and work in the United States with permanent residency, for the low price of $US5 million.
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick last month announced 1000 of the cards had been sold, raising $US5 billion. The Gold Cards effectively replace a similar visa for immigrants who invested at least $US800,000 to $US1 million in a company that employs at least 10 people.

I don't have the wherewithal to contend that topic at the moment but lord to I wish that boom mic repeatedly bopped that nudnik in the face during the announcement.zeb wrote:Donald Trump has flashed one of his new Trump-themed “Gold Cards” to reporters aboard Air Force One.

What if, and this is a big if, Trump knew the most wealthy person in the world and that person was willing to buy fistfuls of these things for his top 1000 best friends from Russia?oasisfan35 wrote:I don't have the wherewithal to contend that topic at the moment but lord to I wish that boom mic repeatedly bopped that nudnik in the face during the announcement.

I don't understand why anyone would have supported him from day one.tree_ wrote:I just don't understand why anyone can support him anymore
Simply after just hearing him pontificate about incoherent nonsense and gaslight transparently, with an obvious narcissistic smirk on his face.
You would have to be stupid beyond all comprehension to believe that he has ever had anything genuine to offer.
And equally foolish to argue about his politics or affiliation, as if it has anything to do with the problem at its basis and isn't part of his trick.
It's astonishing.

This. And it’s scary to think that’s why people voted for him 3 times, stormed the Capitol, and keep displaying Trump flags/signs post election as if he’s a messiahspike wrote:make america white again is mostly whyHappy Trees wrote:I don't understand why anyone would have supported him from day one.tree_ wrote:I just don't understand why anyone can support him anymore
