Man of the Hour doesn't make me tear up anymore, but it did once. Sunburn is a curio.

Also, is 'tidal waves don't beg forgiveness. Crash, then on their way' the best opening lyrics Eddie ever wrote?

I love "Sunburn" and wish it had gone further in the canonization process than that Lost Dogs promo. But "Man of the Hour" is one of my all-time favorite songs, PJ or otherwise, and is especially resonant after having lost my dad last year.

Sunburn is a perfect song. It blows my mind that it isn't more beloved here. It's so to RM's alley, it's sickening!

It doesn't surprise me that Man of the Hour has more votes (it's a lovely, impactful, universally relatable song). I happen to think, good as it is, it's nearly inferior to Sunburn, but I'm not mad that others disagree.

What SHOCKS me is that this is a blow out. I'm utterly flabbergasted that I'm the only one to vote for it, so far. Maybe Sunburn isn't strong enough to beat MotH but it's certainly strong enough to put up a real fight. This is fucking weird, team!

The only thing I can think is that most voters haven't heard it and are assuming it's a Mad Season or Neil Young song.

Yeah, I knew that was the popular opinion. But I didn't realize how prevalent it was. I have underestimated MotH.

The board has underrated Sunburn.
