Correction: Switch 2 is being manufactured in Vietnam which has a 46% tariff. So $655. Game cartridges are being manufactured in Japan.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but this looks like beautiful technology with a long shelf life. They’re trying to position a fairly luxury product as a premium product for every home in America.

I’m fine with a $700 price tag if the games back it up, and if the price brings economic stability to the supply chain laborers — maybe that’s a big if, I don’t know as I’m unfamiliar with Nintendo as a business entity.

Kind of an interesting litmus test for the trade war stuff. Yahoo!

If titles like Metroid and Donkey Kong are also great, sweet! A new great Castlevania sure would be a nice surprise.
