Marfa is a wild spot for Stereolab to visit. Makes weird sense.

It's a former desolate ghost town in West Texas that managed to get itself gentrified somehow.

Sorry, but west Texas is the armpit of america. Spent 7 long months in San Angelo. What a shithole. I don't care how "cute" Marfa is, it is surrounded by shit. Ever been to El Paso?

"Somehow" = because artist Donald Judd poured a lot of artwork, money, and time into creating a cool little enclave; and then hospitality maven Liz Lambert opened up the El Cosmico glamping spot.

Absolutely love Marfa. Wife and I spent a couple days there on our honeymoon. You haven't lived until you've visited this permanent art installation in the middle of nowhere:
