If this tanks, Bungie is donezo.

That said, the artistic direction is certainly striking.

Agree on both points.

I am already salivating over the colours and sounds in that teaser. Gameplay trailer on the weekend!

I played four or five hours over the last day. It's well made but extraction shooters are not for me. I'd play the shit out of a PvE, non-live-service game in this world. Alas. Here's hoping this is enough to save the sinking Bungie ship.

I spoke too soon. I'm hooked.

Getting over.the learning curve has helped and I'm very pleased with the world-bulding.and bits of lore sprinkled throughout.

This game is really, really good, guys.

It has elements including:
1. Traditional extraction shooter gameplay and gear management (which I thought I’d hate)
2. Alien: Isolation-style tension
3. Layers upon layers of items, mods, systems, and interactions revealing themselves the more you play
4. A compelling mystery narrative and cast of characters

As much fun as I’m having, I do worry about the impact of seasonal resets as well as how they’ll manage the story in a compelling way over long periods of time.
