Fun that we get a non-PJ match-up.

It's Hunger Strike and it's not even close.

Both great songs that have PJ members.

I'm going River of Deceit this time (only because I've been practicing it on guitar)

I like RoD more but when Eddie comes in on Hunger Strike, such a highlight.

"Hunger Strike" still moves and impresses me after all these years. Great song, great performance.

Hear, hear. Well said all around.

I will add that I know this song is awesome because I saw PJ perform it with the lead singer from Band of Horses doing Cornell's part and it still moved me to tears.

I have always been really touched by live performances of "Hunger Strike," even though none of the singers can come close to Cornell. I really like the one with Ben Bridwell from BOH. But, even though her performance is pretty pitchy, the '03 versions with Corin Tucker will always be the most meaningful to me. It was such a special way to cap off that tour, especially after the trio of shows in Boston where it seemed like they'd run through just about everything. The end of an era in a lot of ways.

Layne Staley fans vs. Chris Cornell fans.

Mad Season all the way for me. Never could get amped up for Cornell like I could for Alice In Chains.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

River.

The sound of Above as a whole is :nice:
Though I kinda agree that Hunger Strike will take the cake here.

River of Deceit and Hunger Strike are both great songs on great albums. My personal preference on River of Deceit is it is bottom third for me on that album while Hunger Strike probably falls in the middle of ToTD maybe? Even still in a vacuum it is hunger strike
