Brain of J is the most overrated song in the Pearl Jam catalog. RM adores it. It will win by a good margin.

However, In My Tree is objectively the better song. It's perfect. It's the best song Pearl Jam has recorded and maybe the best song anyone has ever recorded. It is vastly and unfairly underrated by all of RM. It should win this tournament every year and yet never has. It's a sham and a shame. But here we are.
No one can objectively say one song is a “better” song. A song is art and everyone brings their own feelings into it. And to say it’s the “best song they ever recorded” is steeped in subjectivity. There are no universal metrics with which to measure these things and accurately say one is better than another.
Thanks for explaining the joke, chud
You weren’t joking
Then you think I'm an idiot who doesn't understand what words mean?
I reserve the word idiot for only one RM member and that person isn’t you.
:heartbeat:

Well, rest assured that while the sentiment is true and accurate to my feelings, the use of the word "objectively" was intentional, and meant as a reference to the running joke here on RM. Because, as you say, all art is subjective.

This is a coin toss for me -- two of PJ's finest. Today the coin comes up "In My Tree."

In My Tree by a mile.

BoJ has 2 things playing in its favor:
- Yield opener.
- Great bridge.
