There are a good bit of food trucks in this area, more so around my old house, but for some reason I never think to go. I just noticed a smashburger one right up the road here that imma hit up for lunch.
Share your food truck experiences here. Is the food poisoning at them different from the normal restaurant variety?

Indian food one nearby, but I haven't tried it yet. Doesn't look very sanitary.
Plenty downtown. Used to eat at them often after leaving da club.

Re: Food Trucks
I'm curious about the business side of food trucks. The prices tend to be high in proportion to what I perceive to be low controllable costs.
I'm guessing they get a lot of their ingredients directly from retail vendors versus wholesalers. Probably a lot of waste as well because food pars are more unpredictable.
I guess I just answered my own question.
Anyway, in my opinion what makes a good food truck is creativity. A lot of cool fusion items happen on food trucks.

Re: Food Trucks
I had the idea to open a food truck called Kitchen Island but it will probably never happen.

They were expensive in Chicago because they were heavily taxed.washing machine wrote:I'm curious about the business side of food trucks. The prices tend to be high in proportion to what I perceive to be low controllable costs.

Re: Food Trucks
There are some food trucks that I enjoy, but with the exception of the mexican food truck built into an old school bus, I find the largely overpriced for what you get. Also, I don't usually have 45 minutes to wait on my order, and that's usually the norm.washing machine wrote:I'm curious about the business side of food trucks. Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?
