There are some songs that “In the Moonlight” could go up against that would make me question whether I was just voting for it to help it advance, but “Animal” isn’t one of them. While “Animal” is no doubt a great blast of raw, visceral energy — a linchpin moment in my early fandom — I find “In the Moonlight” more emotionally, intellectually, and musically moving in every possible way.

An impassioned, unapologetic, sincere vote for “In the Moonlight.”

I love them both and would have no issue with either of them winning the whole thing.

Speaking of animals in the moonlight, one night I heard the craziest sound in the woods behind my house. Hairs standing on end kind of scream. I instantly believed in banshees. Turns out it was a fox just screaming to beat the band.

God, In the Moonlight is just a boring fucking song. I've tried really hard with this over the years. I have. And there have been more than a few songs RM has gotten me to reconsider (including Around the Bend on the strength of KD. Strangest Tribe is another). But not this one. This is probably the lane of Pearl Jam I like the least

Yeah, every year this tournament makes me go try to really like In the Moonlight. Just hasn't happened. Things would be more interesting if it advanced though.

Any doubt I've ever had in your taste has been redeemed by your opening sentence alone.

In the Carrie Coonlight

Is that anything? Anyways, I'm voting for Animal. In the Moonlight is a top 10 song, but Animal is even more of a top 10 song and it needs to win this tournament.

I would love the winner of this match to be the overall tournament champion.

Animal, but I wouldn't be mad to see ITM win.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?
