I like this channel the algorithm decided to show me. This dude goes out and collects water and dirt from various sources and seals them in airtight glass jars and chronicles the self-sustaining ecosystems that develop in the jar over multiple years. An example of the weird hobbies and passions YouTube is great for sharing.

Another random algorithm recommendation. This guy pours molten aluminium into ant colonies. The aluminium finds its way down all the ant tunnels. Then when it's cooled down he digs out the aluminum, resulting in these aluminum "sculptures" that he then sells. (The ants do not survive)
