Yes, the charges are that she obstructed federal agents. Which it sounds like she did:

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/r ... uthorities
PBS.org wrote: Court papers suggest Dugan was alerted to the presence of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in the courthouse by her clerk, who was informed by an attorney that they appeared to be in the hallway.

The FBI affidavit describes Dugan as “visibly angry” over the arrival of immigration agents in the courthouse and says that she pronounced the situation “absurd” before leaving the bench and retreating to her chambers. It says she and another judge later approached members of the arrest team inside the courthouse, displaying what witnesses described as a “confrontational, angry demeanor.”

After a back-and-forth with officers over the warrant for the man, Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, she demanded that the arrest team speak with the chief judge and led them away from the courtroom, the affidavit says.

After directing the arrest team to the chief judge’s office, investigators say Dugan returned to the courtroom was and was heard saying words to the effect of “wait, come with me” before ushering Flores-Ruiz and his lawyer through a jury door into a non-public area of the courthouse. The action was unusual, the affidavit says, because “only deputies, juries, court staff, and in-custody defendants being escorted by deputies used the back jury door. Defense attorneys and defendants who were not in custody never used the jury door.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi said that the man was facing domestic violence charges and that victims were sitting in the courtroom with state prosecutors when the judge helped him escape immigration arrest.

The judge “put the lives of our law enforcement officers at risk. She put the lives of citizens at risk. A street chase — it’s absurd that that had to happen,” Bondi said on Fox News Channel.

Imagine having the guts to face your assailant in court only to sit and watch the judge help them escape.

1. “If you can’t trust Pam Bondi as an acceptable source of information, then who?“ is an obscene form of credulity. Thirteen days ago she was using the position of Attorney General of the United States of America to claim Abrego Garcia was “one of the top MS-13 members.”

2. Bi is right. The fact of the case seem to be the facts of the case. I think everyone here can sympathize with skepticism about initial reports, just as nobody here is functionally stupid enough to take Pam Bondi at her word. But you have information enough.

3 Ya’ll need to remember that we define ourselves as much by what we choose to respond to as by how we respond to it.

Right now, they are doing everything in their power to prevent due process for the people they are disappearing. They are publicly insisting that whenever due process becomes inconvenient, the government should have the right to deny it. And they are shrugging their shoulders whenever they find out they got it wrong, and ruined a life for nothing.

Docks are empty, shortages are coming, a non-governmental agency run by the president’s billionaire friend is building a database using private citizen data, and the administration hopes to fund new detainment camp construction to the tune of half the entire federal prison budget.

And last night, a historically unpopular president signed an executive order setting ambitions conducive to the establishment of a police state.

Summer is coming. It will be hot. People will still be angry. Many are going to feel desperate. But everyone will be very reactive.

Nobody knows what tomorrow looks like, but surely we all can see that it is going to be messy. Messier, by far, than today.

Please, if only as a favor to me, remind yourself from time to time that being more interested in the stories about a messy or misplaced response to an injustice than you are in the injustice itself is how you become the injustice’s useful tool.

Being more concerned with a protestor’s bad behavior than in the shots that were fired after is how you become the enemy of everything your children once stood to inherit.

The US army in 1942 was not compromised of only good men. Neither was the Union army. There weren’t even 12 pure disciples.

And there never will be.

That is a fair point about Pam "the Epstein files are on my desk" Bondi and why I caveated the Fox video with a bolded "If".

But if the response to every source provided is "no, not that one" and no alternatives are proposed, then it's not a judgement on the credibility of the source but a rejection of deductive reasoning itself.

alternate take - anything coming from anyone in the trump adminstration is not giving all the facts or spinning them to tell a different narrative

Discernment and focus would require an understanding of and adherence to core ideological principles (that are hopefully at least somewhat coherent), rather than reliance on perceived tribal consensus driven by the narrative one's media bubble decides to elevate today. That and a healthy dose of disinterest (which I understand McP isn't a big fan of) with regard to emotional appeals. One can't remain on target so long as his opinions are cobbled together from 24-hour news cycle political discourse.

But we're all just having fun posting on the internet about the topic of the day, so we shouldn't be too hard on ourselves.

Any budding political activist probably has to settle for directing the mostly blind outrage of the masses down the correct channels using well-timed propaganda, just make sure you have all the facts first!

Trump is mad at Bezos for listing "tariff charges" on certain Amazon items.

I would think Bezos would be on board with anything that hurt Temu more than Amazon. Unless Trump has changed his mind about De Minimis this week.

Ah, but you see, with enough smugness and self righteousness, being a follower becomes practically impossible!

But maybe we are all followers. Doesn't hurt to try to analyze why that is.

Law and order!? Let me tell you about law and order. you haven't seen what I've seen. "Law and order" don’t mean squat when the streets are a warzone. You haven't watched these big city judges let these animals walk ‘cause of “technicalities.” I’m done playing catch-and-release. We had him dead to rights—witnesses, evidence, the works...

“Insufficient evidence,” judge says.

Bull.

Another case, the judge says the perp is not a "flight risk". Says there were procedural errors. Procedural, my ass. That’s code for “someone made a call.”

Twenty years busting my ass, watching the same dirtbags skate. The system’s a joke, tree.

I’m sick of watching these bastards walk while the city chokes.

So don't talk to me about law and order.

Beavis and Butthead Down Under haven't walked through the blood, and the bones... They haven't tried to console the grieving mothers and wives while their loved ones lie bleeding out on the sidewalk... Last punk I collared killed a prostitute fresh off the bus from Kansas. Candy was her name. I promised her father I'd get justice, but some pantywaist judge gives the scum probation! Sergeant says i take it too personally. Personal? Damn right it’s personal.
