I had a moment of weakness at age 19..one of my coaches wive's seduced me in my dorm room..he never found out as far as I know..she showed up a couple years later at a game to say hey.;..

He 100% filmed it on the chance that you'd make it to the show and he'd get that blackmail money.

I was telling my wife about coaching a little league team when I was a senior in high school yesterday..I had this little red headed kid on my team that really didn't want to be there because he had no interest and I think his folks just wanted him to be involved in something..I asked him to play left field on the first day and he said he couldn't because he was right handed....the things you remember from 40 years ago...

The nephew plays travel ball. Plays football in the fall, but then it's pretty much baseball year around. I've heard a lot of criticisms about it, but they seem to enjoy travelling around, and he's pretty good at it.

about 30 minutes after my dads funeral a couple years ago I was standing around with my older brother and my wife inside the church..an old lady that I couldn't remember came to us and asked me and brother to remind her which one of us played for the Red Sox..it was a fun and unexpected conversation..

forgive me as I dont remember the year but it was late 70s..my parents took me and my brother to a random grocery store in the Denver area because Lou Brock was making an appearance to sign things like they did back in the day for off season income..I had him sign my Denver broncos hat

i was in 2nd or 3rd grade and went with a classmate's family to see the Oriole's play at then Memorial Stadium

we went surprisingly hard on concessions and brought a tray back with chili dogs, cheese dogs

i remember preparing to enter the row, looking out onto the field. we were in the upper deck, left field

as i start turning to enter the row, i slipped and dropped the tray of hotdogs all over the floor

my classmate's dad, who was a tough-nosed construction guy, blurts out 'oh shit' totally dejected

then the mom hushes him

everyone was watching

i was so embarrassed

i remember nothing of the game

only the dropped hot dogs

and the view, being so high up

and the shame

while in high school, my dad took me and my brother to a baseball card show..my dad bought me a St Louis Cardinals jacket..it was very satin and 80's..looked liked a Loverboy album cover..I brought it to college and a roommate took it out of the closet and wore it one day on campus..at lunch he got peanut butter smeared on the back of it somehow..we never figured it out..he was a 2nd baseman from Michigan.

my wife and I spent the weekend with our friends..we bbq'd and drank too much while hanging out at the pool..we got up early this morning and drove home at 7am..we turned on CBS Sunday morning and there was a story today about the Broadway actors softball league in Central Park...I hope Joey has played in it..Anyway, my friend next door has worked for CBS for years and asked me to basically be a ringer on their team..2 games a week at that same field..the one where Costanza knocked out Bette Middler...I went after a fly ball to right center and stepped into a hole and twisted my ankle..I took off a few weeks because the CBS bowling league was starting and the alleys in penn station in the fall...
