I get to spotify playlists at the bar I work at.. every beatles song that comes up lacks vocals.. well you can hear them but barely.. I guess it's the way the audio is set up but I can't fuck w any of that..

Do I need to add them stereo or mono or wtf
The short answer is you likely need to be adding the mono mixes only.

The early Beatles stereo mixes often have the vocals in one channel (i.e. coming out of one speaker) with the music isolated in the other. When you're only hearing one side of the stereo mix (because you only have one speaker physically near you, or the audio has been wired in a strange way), you will hear either music or vocals only.

The mono mixes have none of those issues because everything comes out of only one channel, so it sounds the same out of both speakers.
Thanks!

Maybe Tomorrow Never Knows is the pinnacle of all things music up until about 1970.

I was listening to the radio on the way in to work and Let It Be was on. I listened patiently until the organ thing that leads into the guitar solo and the guitar solo was different. Gone was the archetypal Gretsch tone and in its place was some barely-audible, chorus-drenched aberration. Now I'm at work grumpy. You just can't trust boomers to leave well enough alone.

The original single, original Let It Be LP and Let It Be Naked all have different guitar solos. So you haven't specified which version you heard and who to be mad at.

Tracking down a used copy of the “Beatles In Mono” box set was one of the best investments of my music listening life. Not to lean on a cliche but hearing the Beatles in mono really was like discovering their catalog again for the first time. It’s really amazing how much more kick some of those songs have.

Yeah, CD - not everyone’s thing, I know, though I wish it was only $15. I think it was about $100 secondhand; I bought it from someone in the classifieds on the Hoffman forums. The box set contains mono versions of all of their albums except for Abbey Road and Let It Be (which never received mono mixes), plus another album of non-album singles and B-sides, plus the original stereo mixes of Help and Rubber Soul, which were remixed in 1987 for their initial CD releases (these same — inferior, IMO — remixes were used on the 2009 remasters of the albums as well).

I know there is a vinyl version of the same “Beatles In Mono” set that I am sure goes for a good deal more. But however you get ‘em, I highly recommend the mono mixes.

Never knew John and Sean Lennon share the same birthday. It was yesterday.

Supposedly an induced birth for Numerology reasons, thus no coincidence.

It fits within the details from the Beatles Bible page on Sean’s birth though the numerology theory is not suggested.

I must admit, I'm not seeing the connection between the two tweets.

Paul’s 83rd Bday today. Three years ago when he turned 80, Variety made a ranking of his 80 best songs. I’m amazed that any artist could have a list of 80 songs this good. She Loves You is ranked at 79. That’s too low but still unreal that a song that great could legitimately be considered his 79th best.
