This is maybe the best example so far that's in the original spirit of the thread.

A song I don't love by Pearl Jam, but I personally would love if it was a Chappell Roan song. Not just a cover, but an actual song by her.

I love that call, FJ
I realized that I had strayed from the spirit of the thread and you have confirmed it.

To get things back in order, I would at least listen to 7 O'Clock if Gillian Welch took it over. I'm not 100% sure I'd like it, but if you listen to what she does on April the 14th Part 1, I think she could make the most of whatever is in there.

And I think I'd prefer WMA if maybe Run DMC or Public Enemy made it.

I'll throw out Chris Stapleton doing Let the Records Play. Still not sure it'd work, but I think that song could do with a little less cheeseball shuffle that wishes it were Southern so maybe an actual southerner could do it. For that matter, The Black Crowes might have made a good run at it as well.

these are both awesome choices, i love chris stapleton's voice. the black crowes could jam on this song for like 10 minuts

Warren Haynes has done a smashing version of Indifference. But I didn’t like it better than the original.

My wife hates it when I heat the covers. Because of the smell. Of the farts.

Tedeschi Trucks Band on Red Mosquito. With all the vocal harmonies and bringing the horns in there, that’s one that could really be tasty.

Something Special would be better if it was Ben Folds song.

St. Vincent rules. Lorde kind of sucks.

You're very welcome.
