Not bad, but weakest of the four I saw. Some of their best (faithfull, garden, immortality) and worst (running, wishlist, future days)

It might be due to my position towards the front of the pit, but I think this show is much greater than this setlist indicates.

Re: 2025-05-18: Pittsburgh, PA
I know what you mean, The sound where I was was perfect loud and clear. Some songs seemed to have a different groove than usual, idk. RVM was boil. I was happy to get setting sun.Kalevi wrote:It might be due to my position towards the front of the pit, but I think this show is much greater than this setlist indicates.
But yeah, looking just at the setlist,--the show looks quite unremarkable
Goes to show, you can't judge a concert by the setlist
Goes to show, then comes home

this isnt a show I necessarily would have wanted (because it had faithful and insignificance), but it had faithful, insignificance, hunger strike, RVM and a whole mess of other songs that arent played that often

Betterman -> Insignificance -> Once
interesting
i like all of those songs live
but if you arrange them in that order
I think i don’t
hope everyone enjoyed the show!
now I guess we enter the PJ activity phase that is comprised of occasional Ed wealth/fame/celebrity brags and us pining for an album that comes 4-6 years later
get those prostates screened in the meantime!

The only show this year in which Porch wasn’t played. It was on the setlist after Little Wing. There was an arrow to indicate maybe they’d play it before Ledbetter, but it was scratched.

There are thankless jobs, and there is being the crew member who sets up Ed’s organ every night. wtf?
The show was fine. Ed was hinting that it’s going to be a year or two before they play again, and the way they celebrated at the end, you’d think they just finished a massive world tour, not a 3 continent tour divided into four 10-12 show stretches.
I was at the first shows in Vancouver, the two Wrigley shows, and this. This was by far the weakest set, but Ed was on his A game lyrically and the room came off when Hunger Strike began. It was a solid show, but it wasn’t anything special unless the hiatus that follows is really long.

Re: 2025-05-18: Pittsburgh, PA
Maybe it's because I started paying attention to the FB and reddit groups, but I think the "anticipation" for what people were hoping for here was far too much. Like wish casting so to speak. I am sure it's always been like this, and it's why I like lurking here so much vs the other spots. It seems that there were so many people who want their show to be the most epic because they were maybe not a part of shows we all think were "epic", like the Sneetches with Stars book by Dr. Seuss.
These two shows seemed fine? I was at the first night. The energy surely didn't match Philly in the fall(and I am not a Philly guy, just live around here now). Pitt I, when DM material was played, man at least in my area(CAPTAIN MORGAN CLUB!!), the amount of people who poured up the aisles to I assume get a drink was nuts. I have not seen anything like it. During React Respond, dozens of people took off. It was borderline rude.
I also noticed that the sound was odd on Friday. My wife, who is only a causal fan through me, agreed the sound was "off" at times. We were in 112, not sure if there was a setup issue or whatever.
And yes, I saw that organ four times since last September. It's a running joke at this point?

Something tells me we won't be seeing these guys until a fall tour in 2026 or even 2027.
