Why do people in contestants row bid $1 all the time when they are not the last bidder?

The same reason people by vowels on Wheel when they already know the puzzle.

Hoooooly shit yes. All. The. Time.

Or they'll solve the puzzle when they have no money but it's not a prize puzzle. And Pat/Seacrest will lay into them and they'll just smile and clap oblivious because I win I win.

We stopped watching Wheel. It's insufferable now.

Dumbass lady on Price Is Right actually bid one dollar lower than the highest bidder the other day and it was the final round. Everyone behind her in the audience was face palming and laughing and then she was all "oh okay I guess I lost".

That highest bidder won the showcase. Hopefully her friends and family never let her forget it.

The pilot is simply awful, but it gets better. An extremely dumb show, but enjoyable at times.

Best opening credits ever. Too bad the show doesn't match the vibe.

Hey, I loved it when I was a kid. I was the perfect age group for it. When KATT would show up and fight KITT, that was the best shit around. Now, I’m thinking, probably not.

The stalag stuff was my favorite part. Not sure I’ve seen that part of WWII dramatized before.
How about Stalag 17 and The Great Escape?

Better or worse than Airwolf?

i liked airwolf a lot more than knight rider

fun fact about Price is Right that i am sure most know but i have personal knowledge of

so my aunt in the 1970s won both showcases. as most know you do not get to keep the prizes if you cannot pay the taxes on them. She and my uncle decided on what prizes they would keep (car and boat most notably). She never said if they were given cash instead of the actual prizes.
Did the Mother Fucker pay extra to yell?

Knight Rider was just Dukes of Hazard with gadgets, but I would love to see a Knight Rider set in a dystopian near-future setting, with the same 80s cassette futurism aesthetics. Don't change the car at all.
