Wow, blast from the past. These guys started out on the same Christian label that produced Sixpence None the Richer, of "Kiss Me" fame. Had no idea they were still around. Is the band still 3 brothers?

Re: Chevelle
Finally going to see Chevelle for the first time this Thursday. I'm really looking forward to it. Ruddo, if you happen in this thread, did you actually see them this summer?

I enjoyed myself. Lots of guys with black t-shirts and beards in this town. The guy to girl ratio was 9 to 1, for sure. Most of the girls were accompanying beards, but I'm always fascinated by the 1 or 2 attractive girls who like a band like Chevelle.

This band has a new album out, for the nu metal fans lurking in the shadows here.

Re: Chevelle
Chevelle has a signature sound. It’s as unmistakable as AC/DC. People hate when their favorite bands change their sound, at least initially, but that later turns into respect, and those bands starting getting called artists.
Chevelle makes essentially two kinds of albums, and almost any song off any album could fit on any other album. They’re a band in danger of plagiarizing themselves every time they write a riff.
I like the new album. I like having a band I can count on to sound like they always have. That’s not generally my thing, but it’s nice to have consistency from someone.

Re: Chevelle
New album in August. The first two songs are great. I saw a comment on Facebook or Instagram under the new single that said, “I love how new Chevelle never makes me miss old Chevelle.” It’s so true. They’re like mashed potatoes. They’re not your favorite food, but they never disappoint. As a headliner, they’re kind of underwhelming, but catch them on a bill with a steak headlining, and you’ll really appreciate them.
