What podcasts are you listening to?

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I thought I was hooked on The Rewatchables, but it's really quite inconsistent. Some guests offer very little, or the movies aren't particularly interesting. But when it's good it's really good!

Yeah I'll skip a whole month sometimes. The worst is when they do a great movie but invite Amanda Dobbins on.

I think the worst are the episodes with a live audience. Obviously they have to ham it up and get that bag, but they're awful compared to regular episodes. Same goes for every podcast that weaves in live episodes.

Anyway, I just listened to the Trainspotting episode which was really good!

Talk Easy has been one of my favorites this whole year, and the Josh Brolin Ep is great so far.

very interesting information about his inner demons and how he operates these days. Dude is awesome AF.

He’s been on all the podcasts lately. I’ve only listened to the Ted Danson/ Woody one. He and Woody are old buds. Yeah. He’s had some fucked up shit in his life.

Loved Lizzy Caplan as a guest on Conan. Very good talk, she is awesome really and funny. They talk about social media, engagement, their families...amazing pod really.

yeah, and he always had great guests but he was mostly frustrating to me on how bad he was interviewing them

I think that, as with a lot of comics, he has insecurity issues. He feels the need to speak over guests as a form of validation, I guess. Not quite Billy Corgan levels but still pretty noticeable.

Still a great podcast overall.

yeah, but sometimes it was noticeable he didnt do any pre production on the guest. Weird questions, lots of errors, ¨I havent seen that movie¨, ¨ never heard that album¨
