Please remember that Reid said those guys were at the bottom of his list of favorites, but they are still on the list of favorites. Implying some people wouldn't even make the list, so being at the bottom is an honor.
But, yeah, gotta say VG and tree are pretty darn great

K so I wanna be kind because I have a ton of empathy for autism but you are interpreting Reid's post way too literally. He is 100% slighting us.The Argonaut wrote:Please remember that Reid said those guys were at the bottom of his list of favorites, but they are still on the list of favorites. Ok so now you have just reposted the quote you read too literally in the first place. He's being passive aggressive in that quote. Can you wrap your head around that or will you repost the quote another time? The Argonaut wrote:Dev wrote:K so I wanna be kind because I have a ton of empathy for autism but you are interpreting Reid's post way too literally. Re: My favorite RMers: trag, vinylguy and tree_
you ever feel like the General Discussion forum isn't as fun or worthy of your time as it once was sometimes? I do. also, I've been pretty busy on the weekends, especially with the two young kids, wife, other family visiting. I will never get over the gigantic fish I almost caught Saturday. It was bigger than my six year old child, I'm sure of it. If only I weren't so hasty, I might have a world record of some kind right now. But then to my surprise I see a validating thread like this one on this Monday morning to help lessen the pain of what could have been. Yet still there's always some cognitive dissonance. Part of me loves the validation, the approval from some friend(s) I will probably never meet, but then there's the shame of relishing in it at all. Why do I care to be validated on this message board? In a way it's not even real; you're like figments of my imagination. And how to reply? Just be honest, I guess. I do appreciate you guys. You fill a certain kind of void. It's nice to feel accepted and appreciated by that which you appreciate, so thanks again.

I want to know more about this fish..what pound test line did you have? bait or Lure and what kind? did you see it at all? I've had northern pike do that and they just keep you guessing..

Re: My favorite RMers: trag, vinylguy and tree_
I'm pretty sure it was 12lb test. I was fishing with live worms. I saw it's dorsal fin stick out of the water as I was pulling it in. As far as I was informed, there are only Large Mouth Bass, Blue Gill, Crappie, Red Ear Sunfish, and Catfish in this lake. Of all of those, the dorsal fin looked most like a bass'. This would have been the biggest bass I've ever seen. Like I said, perhaps a world record. And that line, at that size didn't stand much of a chance. But I pulled it all the way up to 5 ft. from the bank, and then snap. I haven't recovered since, but like I said, this thread helps.doug rr wrote:I want to know more about this fish..what pound test line did you have? bait or Lure and what kind? did you see it at all? It probably was a world record.
