US pulling non-essential personnel out of the Middle East and closing the Iraq embassy. We gonna be rioting for Mexican revanchism and Iran this weekend?

Israel has hit Iran and already screaming it’s the victim of the assumed retaliation which hasn’t manifested. No backing from the US on this one and that’s a relief.
Israel has launched what it calls a pre-emptive strike on Iran. [Updated]

Who’d thunk it?
The people that said Hamas have military bases under every hospital, school, house and chicken coop in Gaza and are using Palestinians as human shields, actually have their own main military HQ underground in the very center of downtown Tel Aviv. Right in the middle of a cbd and residential area.
Well I for one am shocked to learn this. Shocked I tells ya

So no sign of calmer heads prevailing any time soon.

Fox reported that Trump summoned the NSC to the Situation Room for tonight when he arrives back from leaving the G7 meeting early

having spent the day in an unpleasant room full of people not required to grovel at him (the G-7); he needed the urgent attention of a room full of ass-kissers and thought the NSC would be the fastest way to get back on track
