Big time. It makes sense, though. Nintendo are kind of dicks about a lot of shit. It's like they hate money.

I won't be buying this shit. I can play Dark Souls & Diablo 2 on my Sw1tch, and that's all I care about.

(joycon drift is also one of the biggest betrayals I've ever experienced)
If anything, RM far exceeds the general public's interest in this thing if 3 of the 17 active users on this site has purchased one.

I’m starting to worry about the slate of games for this. Maybe it’s that the original Switch had such a legendary slate. I need to hear if a Zelda or Mario game soon or I won’t be interested in buying.

A mainline Zelda is far away. A 3D Mario is far away (assuming it's being made by the team that made Odyssey and Bananza). Your best hope is for a 2D Mario.

I'm sure there will be plenty of spinoffs, remakes, remasters and Switch 2 versions of many Zelda and Mario games.

What? Odyssey came out in 2017. Mario is Nintendo’s signature character. I don’t understand how there wasn’t an Odyssey sequel on the Switch, tbh. How could there not be a new 3d game soon? We just got Wonder 2 years ago. No one is clamoring for a new 2d game.

Was R type on Nintendo? Anyone remember it? Side scroller shooter game you’re in a little star ship with really cool weapons and missiles and weapon effects and ever increasing amounts of aliens and ships you had do destroy?

That would be a kick ass game to get an update in 3D

The Odyssey team designed Donkey Kong: Bananza. They've been developing it over the past few years (since 2022?). We're guaranteed to get a new 3D Mario, but probably not until 2027 at the earliest.

Again, a different development team could be tasked to work on it. Then all bets would be off.

Maybe Galaxy 2 will be remade since that was the only 3D Mario not released on Switch.

There are several R Type games on Switch 1. I've been waiting on R Type: Cosmos. It's been delayed for years. Years!

I would love a Galaxy 2 remake/remaster. A Top 3 Mario game.

I love Mario games, but aside from the original NES games, I’ve never actually replayed any of them. I don’t remember any details of either Galaxy game, I enjoyed them at the time. Mario Sunshine I’ve romanticized because the GameCube era is my favorite other than the original NES. Mario 64 was revolutionary, but I got that system late and remember it more for the multiplayer masterpieces that are Goldeneye and Mario Kart 64. I never played 3d Mario. Was that Wii U? Odyssey, though, I absolutely loved. I sure hope Nintendo gives me a reason to buy their new Switch sooner than later. I don’t care for Donkey Kong. It’s Mario and Link or nothing.

I finally watched the Donkey Kong Bananza direct. It looks way more fun/fully-featured than the initial trailer.

In Japan, Switch 2 sales have already surpassed the lifetime sales of Series S + Series X + Series X Digital. In 2 weeks.

Hey I have a Switch 2 question. When we bought two of our kids Switches, we knew that we’d have to create separate accounts because they wouldn’t be able to play their downloaded game simultaneously if the two devices were on the same account. Does the same apply if you have both a Switch and a Switch 2 associated with the same account? If my son is playing something digital on his Switch 2, am I able to play a different digital game on his Switch at the same time?

I really don't know, but Switch 1 and Switch 2 have (nearly) identical operating systems so I assume the same rules apply.

Seems to be a fuckload of glitching with the BOTW and TOTK on switch 2 downloads. And if you bought the dlc on 1 you have to buy it again on 2?
Also
I’m not understanding this. Do you have to buy a new / updated BOTW/TOTK cartridge to get all the updated graphics etc? Or will your same one you had on 1 work and just look better ?

The upgrade is $10 and it's just a downloadable patch for your existing physical or digital copy. No need to buy anything else.

I've heard nothing about glitched save files if they're stored in the cloud.

Gotcha. Thanks MD.

Gonna be investing in a switch 2 in a couple of weeks.

Don’t really understand the logic of it I only want it for botw and TOTK. I’ve never played a single other game on switch it just sits there gathering dust.
But I wanna be able to play randomly. But it’s so expensive. And just sits there.

Dimes daily dillemmas
