I hope you're referring at least partially to me. I do love being an agitator.

"Just Breathe" and "Let the Records Play" are my bottom two. The other eight would just be a bunch of songs from Backspacer and LB that I don't remember without listening to them so

My kids stumbled on Sweet Lew and I told them it was one of the weirdest/worst things Pearl Jam ever did. So then they'd play it in the car all the time. And it slowly grew on me. It knows what it is and it is fully and wholly 100% that without pretense.

You need to stop letting your kids dictate so much of your artistic preferences

I think the only PJ songs I actively dislike are:

Johnny Guitar
Evacuation
Can't Deny Me
Don't Gimme No Lip
Sweet Lew

Supersonic is stupid but I don't dislike it the way I dislike those others. Bugs and StupidMop... are also dumb but don't really count.

The only Pearl Jam song I actively dislike is Habit.

I can find something to enjoy in all the rest, even the ones that are sub-par.

There's really nothing about it that I like.

It's grating. Terrible lyrics. The "speaking as a child of the 90s" bit makes me physically sick. Ed sounds like trash. There's nothing to connect to. It's emotionally vague and juvenile. It's between two literally great songs. It's that PJ hard rock/punk cosplay think they do sometimes that I think they think they are good at but are actually really bad at, but it's also the very worst example of that thing. You can't sing along. You can't dance to it. It gives me an instant headache. There's nothing catchy or interesting about it. It feels like that heatwave they recorded it in/around and I hate being hot.

The end of Habit is as good as it gets. I would be sad to think otherwise. The rest of it is good too.

I need to find a spot for “Down” on my list.

An easy song to hate without needing to think.

And you can't defend it without being gas lit as pretentious or circled around by a nothing-burger subjective opinion argument.

Maybe a bit of consensus mob at play too.

People also seem to dislike "In The Moonlight".

"Johnny Guitar" is outstanding musically even if the lyrics are stupid. That certainly never stopped anyone from loving an Eddie turd before.

And I've noticed "Slight Of Hand" and "Parachutes" are easy targets recently too.

It's depressing, considering some of the archaic or outright boring songs that can be mentioned.
