Making gluwein myself for the first time tomorrow. Looks easy enough. Gonna make it in the early afternoon so I can be nice and tipsy while I’m on a 20 foot ladder hanging lights

I enjoyed a lot a chilean wine grape called Carmenere. Its red and kinda similar to Cabernet Franc.

I don't believe any red should be stored above 58 degrees F.

Is that what you would consider chilled, Spike?

I dunno, I’ve just started dipping my toes in this. Had a bit of a Pinot bottle on ice at a wine bar and was into it.

I tried a Malbec last night, it was beautiful.(Thanks VG!) has a pleasant bitterness and is too easy to drink

I also got a piedmont barbera I haven’t opened..

Waiting on a good special before i pick up a barolo

The slower I drink them the more I can justify spending on them.

Luigi Bosca's Pinot Noir from their Insignia label.

Pretty good, very lightly, tasty.

Last night i went to a bday party were they had a lot os sushi. I brought a tasty Chardonnay from Luigi Bosca. It was good enough but nobody drank white wine so i finished it myself.

Tonight i opened a bottle of Zuccardi ´s Serie A Bonarda. Its very very good, light and fruity.

i was asked about what wine i liked by a co-worker last week , and i rambled on about how i had been trying different countries and regions etc, we talked about going to wineries, and i mentioned how i hadn't had a barolo yet

i didnt realise that that he was investigating on behalf of another co-worker who ended up buying me a barolo as a xmas gift, which is ridiculous! im pretty sure i only wanted a barolo after RM suggested so...
