First three eps of new Owen Wilson show Stick on Apple TV. He plays a washed up pro golfer mentoring a young prospect. Marc Maron plays his old caddy. Easy watching, in the Ted Lasso or Shrinking vein.

Definitely the best version of The Count Of Monte Cristo that I've ever seen. I didn't want it to end:
Jeremy Irons is also in it.

I want to be a warm and friendly person
But I don't know how to do it

Binged the first season of Tires, the Shane Gillis vehicle on Netflix. I think I find these comedies centered around people’s incompetence more annoying than funny.

Don’t go, you should watch Tires. The second season isn’t as bleak and they tap into that Always Sunny energy.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:Comedy and diplomacy are dead. As am I. Plus Shane Gilles is funny enough for the occasional reel, but not 30 minutes of attention.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:I ain't do Netflixspike wrote:Don’t go, you should watch Tires. Oh, I assumed it was like a One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest-type deal where all of the characters were facets of the main character's psychosis so when the big Native American guy runs away at the end it's a symbol that the main character's anima has departed via lobotomy.spike wrote:Good thing it’s an ensemble cast then!lvc wrote:Plus Shane Gilles is funny enough for the occasional reel, but not 30 minutes of attention.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:I ain't do Netflixspike wrote:Don’t go, you should watch Tires. I dig the take. But isn't the novel written from Chief's POV?

What a finale! Crazy how the last two season were so well developed and nothing felt rushed of half-baked.
