Normie pick. "Where Is My Mind" in Fight Club is possibly the best ever. But maybe I'm biased because it's the first time I heard that beautiful band. That shit hit.

Scorsese is definitely at the top of the hill on this particular art. When he drops that Roy Buchanan song at the end of The Departed while the camera pans to the rat on the balcony railing is pretty smart. The average viewer might not know the song, but finding out it's called "Sweet Dreams" is very nice delayed gratification.warehouse wrote:i think Goodfellas and Forrest Gump have almost perfected this. Goodfellas was on tv the other night, shocker i know. "Layla" is the obvious example, but it's almost all perfect. Same thing with Forrest Gump, I can probably pick 4-5 songs off the top of my head from that movie that are perfect. i might add Dazed and Confused.
the murder scenes in American Psycho with Huey Lewis and Genesis are pretty great.
there was a scene in Stranger Things when they played "Psycho Killer". i wish this was the song that stuck instead of 'running up that hill'
anytime "The Man In Me" played during The Big Lewbowski
"Back to Life" at the beginning of Belly

Were you familiar enough with Roy Buchanan in 2006 to name the tune? I wasn't and I'm average at best.Ello Sailor wrote:So when is this cornball dickhead going to admit that he's Trag?lvc wrote:The average viewer might not know.
