The average playing age is a factor, but I’ve heard of young people fucking themselves up too. I assume since it’s a smaller court, there’s a lot of hard stopping, pivoting, etc. Lots of stress on the ankles and knees over a short interval. Tennis is more fluid movement on a bigger court.

i would decline hard court tennis at this point

i need a softer surface

i don't run anymore for this reason ... i bike

too much ankle and knee pain the next day, even if i don't have an incident

basketball too many rapid motions suddenly, too easy to sprain a muscle ... pickelball will combine those two worst things

i need fluid things like swimming, biking, beer drinking, shuffleboard, and bocce

So I been in hospital for two days with a suspected stroke.
Turns out after an mri, it’s the disks in my neck got injured (and I remember exactly when and where) were bulging inwards and causing stroke like effects or mimicking as the doctor put it. So now I have loads of injections and physio or possibly surgery to look forward to.
I don’t even mind. It wasn’t a stroke. They’re my deepest fear them. Just give me the cyanide tablet if that happens. I don’t wanna sit around in a vegetative state slowly rotting away
