Re: Matt Cameron quits Pearl Jam
musically, they'd be fine if they continue. drummers are the most easily replaceable part of any band.
emotionally, this will probably be tricky for them. they'll likely carry on in some form, as let's be honest, only ed can end pearl jam at this point. time to bring back jack to keep the singer engaged.

I truly hope it’s not.Strat wrote:Ill bet you one of my SG's this wont be the casewease wrote:This is exactly what I see happening. Well, there you go.
Unsurprising given everything that's already been said about the physical impact of being a touring rock drummer in your 60s, but definitely the end of an era and not one I was expecting. I thought it more likely the band would just slowly wind down from regular touring.
Very interested to see what happens now.

I saw his kid recently graduated college, so maybe opening up a career opportunity for them.

Uncropped version:
Sorry for the tangent - just drives me nuts that someone would crop it like that.
(I uploaded it two years earlier, yet that guy's cropped copy has 600k more views.)

Someone may have mentioned this already, but maybe he just feel back in love with SG while they finish that final album.

Not that it means anything but isn’t someone in the band (ed?) on record saying that Matt Cameron will be the last drummer for Pearl Jam?
I love Cameron’s PJ songs but they should retire those now. Except the Fixer. Because who cares what they do with that?
