Chamberlain would at least continue Cameron's tradition of being far and away the best musician in the band.
Yeah. That’s the stuff right there

I like the sound of Chamberlin

tbh I just want someone who has some imagination, who knows how to fill space creatively when the music is simple or sparse

I'm no experton his work but what Ive heard from Chamberlain, I like. However he has had ants in his pants for his whole lifetime. Also he was w PJ in the beginning and was like peace out, SNL band is a better gig. I hope they go with someone who can see this thing out.

Chamberlain is a great drummer. I was in a jazzy-pop-rock band in the early 2000's and our drummer was obsessed with him. I've always viewed him as more of a session guy who revels playing in lots of different contexts/genres and with different artists—can't see him settling down/sticking with one band full time.

I've always been hazy about when he was actually in the band. Dave A. joined in August '91 right before "Ten" came out, yes? Krusen was gone by the summer of '91? So Chamberlain was in there for what 6 weeks? Enough time to shoot the Alive video and that was it?

Chamberlain’s first show was 7/4 and Dave A’s first was 8/23. So he was there a little over a month probably.

I mean, maybe he's changed his mind in the past 40 years? I definitely think they could guarantee him some stable income now vs. then.

Perkins, Eric, and Dave have been recording without Perry...don't tell him.
Oh how I hope this is true. Eric's annoying vocals aside, Deconstruction is one of my favorite albums ever.

Get in the studio and record some songs. Capture how the band is feeling right now while this is still fresh. Make an EP. Get Jerome Turner on drums and hire someone later to play live.

Do a whole album without drums"

Don't make the songs acoustic or "contemplative" to fit the drumless sound, just do a whole Pearl Jam style rock album... just, without drums

i would think if Chamberlain was willing to tour with Soundgarden he would be willing to tour with Pearl Jam

i hope

but regardless

just tour again

no new music

just tour

i want to pee to evenflow one last time and savor it

looking over at the men next to me at the stalls, making small talk

looking down and talking to them, making eye contact, and then looking down again

just one last time

please

Or switch to bluegrass. Bluegrass usually doesn't have drums.

I'd dig this, it might force them to be a bit raw and messy

Chamberlain was the drummer for less than a month yeah. He was very surprised the band wanted him to continue yeah.

I love his style, specially on the Fiona Apple album he is in, When the pawn...
