so blue jays fans really think a hitting coach was holding them back? because the offensive metrics are pretty similar with Mattingly at the helm. they still don't hit for power and they take fewer walks. it's just that they're making more contact and strike out fewer times, which i'm guessing he also stressed.

they do hit the ball hard...I have a man crush on my favorite little fat catcher, Kirk..and nobody should talk to or get Barger out of his zone right now...

the tigers couldn't get kirk out when they played them in may. he never strikes out.
