My theater did show a brief teaser for Nolan's Odyssey right before it started, though. Lackluster teaser, nothing much to it and it kind of looked like crap, but I'm looking forward to it despite myself

The Phoenician Scheme. I'm finding this really hard to watch. I appreciate it for what it is, but I'm not entertained. Why must they try so hard to not be human? It's like an alien made it, in that way it's interesting, so detached. Felt the same about Asteroid City. I don't know what makes Life Aquatic and Royal Tenanbaums better for me. Maybe I was just in a different kind of place when watching them before. I don't think I'll watch those again unless I change back into that kind of place again maybe.

Jurassic Park: Rebirth.

Yeah very tired sequel. There are no new ideas and tons of old ones.. there is even another fucking kid!!!

Edwards is on autopilot or maybe he forgot how to direct a movie…its been a long time…

This movie makes no sense.

It was all going well until they met at the helipad

The ending is awful.

The mutant big bad is very disappointing. The terraraptors were even worse.

What was the point of the boyfriend in this movie.

The TRex scene in the river was the highlight.

Raptors being in the movie for 5 seconds was shizenhousen

I have no issues with kids being a part of the Jurassic franchise, they can really sell awe and wonder better than anyone; the problem is shitty writing -- Tim and Lex were excellent child characters, played by excellent actors and written well; we haven't seen that since

True. They were also the last child characters that were well written. After that im always praying they die horribly

Watched "Eden" last night. I loved it.

I thought "how was this not on my radar?" a couple of times while watching.
Pretty mixed reviews though, lukewarm to straight-up negative.

I guess I have shitty tastes.

not as bad as it could have been, as its considered one of the worst movies of the year. i'm not a horror fan though so maybe theres little to disappointed about, i was just relieved there wasn't much tension.

I didn't care for it that much when it came out, but I enjoyed it a lot more this time. That said, while the car chases are objectively good, they are far too long and I was bored out of my mind. But I hate car chases generally anyway.

I knew two of them were ex-government, but must have missed the part where they all are, and it kinda sounded like they just left on good terms? Pretty flimsy reason to name it that, but whatever who cares.

I kept expecting it to tie into the 47 Ronin story that is brought up later, but it turned out to have nothing to do with that specific story.
