That's an odd conclusion in which to arrive.

Why else would you dislike such a wonderfully funny and unique story about friendship?

It's attempt to be quirky and awkward didn't land at all and felt very forced. Everything Napoleon said was annoying. For me it was definitely exasperated by the barrage of quotes and references to it when it came out.

Jurassic Park

Yeah I'd be surprised if there was someone here who outright disliked the first Jurassic Park.

I've come around on it. But I really hated it when I saw it on opening day. But that was mostly because I'd literally just finished the book the night before and this was back when I thought movies should be exactly like books. Because I was ten.

It's okay now. I certainly don't hate it. There are a lot of parts I really enthusiastically enjoy. But on balance, I think it's overrated.

Heat is just stupid.

I remember being very disappointed that the movie didn’t have some scenes that were identical to the book, however that MIGHT have been from JP 2.

I recently read Jurassic Park and it made appreciate the movie even more. Koepp and Crichton did an exceptional job adapting it; the screenplay improves upon the book tremendously.

For years I was an Aliens hater, but I eventually came around to thinking it was pretty good. But if someone said they didn’t like Alien, I would say Aliens sucks out of spite.

Alien is brilliant. Aliens is frivolous and expendable, but sure yeah it's kinda fun for a few stretches.
