I’m happy for kids today getting this kind of Superman.
Several moments had me enjoying them like a kid would.

Doesn’t make me like the Snyder movies any less, but now I’m on board with this one too, I’ll buy the Bluray for sure.

Massive task, executed very well.

Since we’ve not seen it yet, we’re talking about just doing a double feature with Fantastic Four next weekend.

I would have thought Hawkgirl would have been a bit taller and i could have done without that whole scream thing she was doing.

Just got back from watching it. Really liked it. Got much more right than not in my estimation.

Main points:

LOVED Mr Terrific. More of him now, please.

Corenswet played a great Superman and Clark Kent.

Brosnahan was great as Lois. She was right from the Byrne stories.

Despite myself, I loved Krypto. Most of my life I’ve hated the idea of all these super-animals but goddammit, Gunn did it. I loved that dog. Glad we should get more of him in Supergirl.

I liked how they used the name Ultraman and how he turned out to be a clone. I sense a Bizarro future.

Lois was totally from Byrne yeah. A lot of it seems to have that moment of Supes comics as a influence.

Probably why i liked it so much.

perhaps i am looking too deep into this but was lex a projection of elon. with all the young kids help running the ultraman protocols for the fight sequence?

At this point i would say Musk is a projection of Lex.

This version of him on the movie was spot on from Byrne´s Superman from the 80s.

This movie was totally fine. Some great performances from the supporting cast, but probably forgettable over all.

It was awesome to see a movie about a good dude just being a good dude. But I have to say that it made me more despondent and nihilistic about real life. Which sucks.

Don't worry, Lenny. I'm planning on watching it this weekend and I will report back with a chill scale rating.
