Re: What movies are you watching?
Also, while watching this on Amazon Prime, the french scene/dialogue had no english captions at the bottom, so I just had to watch it in French. I thought maybe that's how it was originally, but then I watched another movie with a scene in a different language and it had the same problem. Weird. Tried turning on captions again and after a few tries it started working again.

Yes. They've recently started occasionally putting ads in the middle of movies too. This is a paid service! Amazon isn't making enough money already? I need to sit through a 30-second spot for some dumb fucking Prime original I'll never watch in the middle of an obscure documentary I and three other people have seen so Jeff Bezos can afford one more lip filler for his freak wife?BurtReynolds wrote:Prime is trash.

If it wasn't bundled in with Prime shipping, I'd never keep it. I've cancelled all my other subs. My streaming slop levels are dangerously low!

The Conspiracy. Twas alright. Great cast, but continually thought about their English accents as Nazi's.

Burt's a softie for action flicks you just have to catch him in in the right mood. I can imagine if we knew each other in the 80's having a conversation where he convinces me that Missing in Action III is actually a really good movie.

Maybe I'm just a fan of blue filters on entire movies.
Theron is good. McAvoy is good. Good setting. Doesn't bore me to death with long action scenes. It's nice.

Mrs Wease wanted to watch Happy Gilmore 2 last night. It was fun. Not a must-watch but wasn’t terrible. The early scenes with him golfing are actually pretty funny and I laughed quite a bit. The story is pretty predictable, but still ok. LOTS of cameos and a couple that will have Joe creaming his pants
Let me tell you, Homer Simpson is cock of nothing!

Materialists.
I like it a lot. Great framing and photography. Dakota Johnson was great. I did feel it was a little too long and i did not liked the ending that much.

Re: What movies are you watching?
In honor of Ruddo I watched 47 Ronin.
Maybe I'm getting nostalgic for the non-comic popcorn blockbuster era, but it was alright I guess. Kinda ponderous and not very creative, but I can appreciate that it takes itself seriously instead of undercutting itself with self aware jokes every 5 seconds.
