Thus far, I am not a fan of Edge of Fate (their graphics need an overhaul and the map is wildly confusing). I'm hearing great things about the campaign story so hoping I hit the good stuff soon.

The campaign was pretty enjoyable, now the grind begins.

I'll play until Borderlands 4 (12 Sept) and Ghost of Yotei (2 Oct) drop and then see how much time I still have for D2.

Finished the campaign, which was very solid, but am feeling very little desire to continue grinding my way through a meaningless chase for higher-tier armor and weapons. I've never played this game for the grind.

I played a bit more. The Kepler map is an abomination. I quit at least three times throughout the weekend out of aggravation.

The post campaign grind is worse than it has ever been.

Glad that I have Borderlands, Yotei and GTA on the horizon. Might even give Death Stranding 2 a whirl.

I think this is the longest I’ve gone without playing Destiny in years. I really don’t miss it but will likely check out Renegades in a couple weeks. Ten years in, Bungie still can’t string two good decisions together to save their life.

Renegades has turned out to be solid (at least relative to Destiny's history). The lightsaber is awesome and the grind, if you opt for it, has been relatively painless (aside from the RNG hell of trying to get the darksaber crystal).

Now they just need to fire the portal into the sun and build on what's working from Renegades.

I played a lot of Destiny back in the day, but the downfall for me was my general dislike of multiplayer games beyond PvP. Somehow I got a lot out of this game without ever completing the Vault of Glass.

I never, ever thought I would raid when I first started playing but eventually gave it a go, found a clan, and even made some loose friends. Said clan fell apart because its founder was cheating on his wife with another member. I haven’t raided much since.

This is all to say I highly recommend trying out a raid, although the two most recent ones seem like they’re far too difficult for the average player.

Just logged in for the first time in months to check out Guardian Games and there were zero other guardians in the Tower. :(

Donezo: https://www.bungie.net/7/en/News/Article/d2_may_21_2026
For almost twelve years, we have had the joy and honor to explore the Destiny universe with you all. Through all the ups and downs, surprises and triumphs, building Destiny alongside our players has been a monumental privilege. While our love for Destiny 2 has not changed, it has become clear that after The Final Shape, we have reached the time for our shared worlds, and Destiny, to live beyond Destiny 2.

As our focus turns towards a new beginning for Bungie, we will begin work incubating our next games. To that end, on June 9, 2026, we will release the final live-service content update for Destiny 2 to begin that new journey as a studio.
