I'm not sure Freese would have been the right fit anyway. He seems to have a big personality.

Does anyone know if Jack Irons is still in playing shape?

If he decided he wasn't 27 years ago, I doubt he is now.peters goodness! wrote:Does anyone know if Jack Irons is still in playing shape?

Jack's definitely still playing (check his Instagram) but I wouldn't imagine he'd be up for going on the road.

He always was the best, and complex drummer the band ever had. Yield is such a high water mark IMHO

Yeah. Jack is awesome, but will never return to a touring life. Dave A fled the country and will never return to the band. Krusen and Chamberlain seem to be in great shape, with the latter being a really great fit for them.

Wow, Dave feeling the country definitely isn’t something I knew… What’s the story there?

How difficult is the touring life for Pearl Jam these days, though? Their tours are probably less than half of the shows (if not more) than what they were during Jack's days with the band? Fewer shows and they're typically spaced out with an off day(s) in between.joostone wrote:Yeah. Jack is awesome, but will never return to a touring life. Jack’s years would be touring in ‘95, ‘96, and ‘97. All those those were less than 50 shows I think total apiece.

Thanks! I knew a little about the drama of him leaving but I didn’t realize he was still getting into trouble. It’s a shame.joostone wrote:There's some talk about it in this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/pearljam/comme ... insta_and/peters goodness! wrote:Wow, Dave feeling the country definitely isn’t something I knew… What’s the story there?

How badass would that be to have him escorted off the stage in cuffs at this first show back?E.H. Ruddock wrote:So he can go to jail?Farmer John wrote:I still think they should bring him back

Re: Next Drumoise
Recently Matt Chamberlain posted a picture on his Instagram, it said something like 'back home from touring and about to hit some heavy drums for fun' or something like that. Stupidly I replied by saying something like: 'awesome! and some guys in Seattle are looking for a loud drummer'. Within minutes he deleted my comment and the whole post. He probably forgot that annoying PJ fans (like me haha) are following him a bit closer now.
