Yeah I don't eat cereal very often anymore but back when I did it was usually just milk (whatever kind was available -- I guess skim milk?). The cereal itself is usually pretty sweet already

We always had a sugar bowl on the table; I’d use it to sprinkle a bit onto my cereal. Sometimes if my parents weren't looking, I’d just eat a heaping spoon of sugar from it as well. My point is, kids will get sugar any way they can get it.
