Re: Travel thread
my take is that it's a well-manicured and uniquely designed park, with lots of interesting features, build-ins for kids, food and drink (everywhere) - that has animals in it. kind of like a really nice ski resort town, that you walk through and there are exhibits. the amenities are quality, the designs are thoughtful. from a practical standpoint too, they have covered a ton of nice-to-haves: plenty of shaded seats throughout, plenty of bathrooms. but much more than that it is clean and clearly reflects thought and care. the animals actually look healthy, the exhibits are interesting. it's not like a prison for animals. it was hilarious at one point i realized 1 year ago almost to the day i was in buffalo, ny and went to their zoo. the difference could not be more dramatic

Tips on: Whistler, BC
Bam Fam trip to Whistler in a couple weeks.
Stayed the night there in July 2016 for the PJ set at Pemberton, but otherwise never actually spent time in Whistler in the summer.
Looking forward to the gondola / skybridge, hiking, river float, and Geocaching with the kids. The whitewater rafting options there unfortunately are very lame given my kids age / size. Not eligible for the good ones.
