i don’t know that you’re going there, but I think about the black dal from Dishoom at least once every couple of months.
ha thats where we are going today for lunch...I'll try it..I always liked the minced lamb kabobs...its impossible to have too much cumin..might go for the monkfish curry as well..
nice. I remember the prawns being good too.

and the breakfast.

just get everything.
we had the prawns and they were great..okra fries were really good too..for whatever reason we didn't get the black daal..had some chicken curry..it was all good..

last nights dinner at Andrew Edmunds was a big let down for both of us...I've probably eat there a dozen times over the years and this was the first bad one...oh well..

also, yesterday I spent about an hour inside the London Gibson Garage...nothing but les Pauls and the others..what a store..I held and strummed a well worn 59 that was on sale for 20,000 pounds..afterwards we went to a pub we always hit up for a couple of drinks..a group of about 12 young ladies came in as part of their golf themed bar crawl..they had tasks they had to do while there and one of them came up to me and said they had to share shoes with someone and have a drink...she asked to wear my Adidas so I obliged..he friends to a pic of us..she ended up being a professional golfer..I didn't ask her name..she was very pretty and probably mid 20s...its a good pic

We’re about a week and a half out from our Chicago trip to see Oasis.

Looking for some recs for places to eat. We’re staying on the mag mile again. My wife just made a reservation at avec. We went to Lula(?) last time we were in town, as well as some Indian restaurant that I can’t quite remember the name of.

Any places we need to check out?

i would take coffee recs too. Been to intelligentsia, and I think I want to try to get to Metric coffee.

Now you get to be the bastard who is responsible for everyone else on the plane falling ill. It's a very important role, and every flight needs one.

we just booked iceland for the week between christmas and new years (plus a couple of days). we'll be in the northern part for 4 days sea kayaking, snowmobiling, whale watching, skiing, and sitting on our asses. we'll be in reykjavik on new years eve through the third of january (thinking of snorkling in thingvellir national park). should be prime time for the northern lights.

when are you coming here?

if you're looking for a pretty cool dinner place and are willing to spend a little extra, check out this place: https://www.momotarochicago.com/ while it's japanese, it's not traditional sushi. it's pretty awesome, and their cocktails are amazing.

also, go to the west loop for lunch to this place: https://jpgraziano.com/ they have the best italian sandwiches in the city.
