Re: Alien: Earth
Seems like he’s trying to emulate The Matrix with that.
Probably my favorite part of the first two episodes was when Andor Hamilton walked in on the guys cosplaying as French aristocrats, because it was just so fucking weird and did not match the aesthetic of the rest of the show at all, and there was nothing super creative/new about the look of the show up to that point. It looked exactly like I expected an Alien show to look. Then you’ve got half of Louis XIV crawling across the floor. It made me sit up in my chair for the first time. I’m hoping there are more diversions like that as the series goes on.

I'm having a hard time getting past Wendy walking around with a sword that is just a paper cutter that magically sticks to her back.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Re: Alien: Earth
This show is amazing. It's almost exactly what I wanted from the IP. I've always wanted someone to be brave enough to tackle the genesis of the Architects (shout outs my boy Ruddo), but this is the next best thing. Weyland-Yutani and competitors. The politics of synth. It's batshit crazy but it's so much fun.
Holy shit this rules.

Re: Alien: Earth
The bits of non-orchestral music still cause me to cock my head like a dog trying to understand a human. That's the only piece of the show that isn't working for me.

Well maybe go be bothered in the "whiny bitch" section. Because this is the not-a-bitch section.

Re: Alien: Earth
turns out, it’s sliced all the way through the most indestructible creature in the galaxy. Imagine the stacks of paper you could’ve cut with that paper cutter.B wrote:I'm having a hard time getting past Wendy walking around with a sword that is just a paper cutter that magically sticks to her back.

Re: Alien: Earth
You're conveniently ignoring the other songs I mentioned. Weyland-Yutani would not abide such bitch behaviour. You have had 7 years added to your stay.VinylGuy wrote:you are only saying that because they used a tool song. Its the execution that sucked hard.
