How so? Did nobody know how to poznan?Chris_H_2 wrote:Great show in Chicago tonight. Liam and Noel sounded very good. Of course, the crowd being American at a stadium show, it sucked. But the band was awesome.

Re: Oasis (reunion confirmed)
In hindsight I think I was probably too harsh on the crowd. It did seem flat at times, but that’s probably relative to the European crowds, which isn’t entirely fair.
I would say about 40% celebrated their entire catalogue, and of the remaining 60%, half really only knew champagne supernova and wonderwall. The rest? Well, you could tell they were there because of sheer fomo.
I was surprised how engaging Liam was with the audience - very talkative. But man, he moves around like he’s 80.
And Mecca - Stand By Me was soooo good.

Did it rain at all? That really put the exclamation on Stand By Me and Noel even gestured when he got to the line. I got goosebumps just thinking back on itChris_H_2 wrote:In hindsight I think I was probably too harsh on the crowd. Re: Oasis (reunion confirmed)
Last night was so much fun. I’m definitely a little hoarse today, but it was worth it.
Got to hang out with one of my closest friends from my military days, and sing along to a bunch of great songs.
It may just be me, but the Noel sung songs seemed like they got more energy from the crowd. Could just be that the Liam songs are louder and a little rockier. Dunno…
either way, great night.

This would have been me if I’d gone. The videos this summer, particularly from England, made me so envious. I would love to feel that joy at a show. But I only know the last 3 songs.Chris_H_2 wrote:In hindsight I think I was probably too harsh on the crowd. It can definitely be both, I would love to see Oasis but hate stadium shows. Honestly I think the videos from the Cardiff shows sounded the best, and I think that was the only indoor venue.Birds in Hell wrote:I watched those videos and thought "god, I would hate this".daft twat wrote:The videos this summer, particularly from England, made me so envious.

Re: Oasis (reunion confirmed)
Granted all the fervor is over the reunion currently but they did manage to package up a 30th Anniversary (What's the Story) Morning Glory? that dropped today:
The first disc is simply the 2014 remaster.
Second includes five 'new' unplugged Frankenstein tracks, original vox over newish arrangements:
01 Cast No Shadow
02 Morning Glory
03 Wonderwall
04 Acquiesce
05 Champagne Supernova
I hear remnants of original stuff on the tracks which was brought to the forefront with the Super Audio CD release... they should have let the anniversary pass but "Hey, let's sell vinyl!"

Re: Oasis (reunion confirmed)
There was an actual acoustic version of Morning Glory on the original WBCN Naked Disc that was excellent.

I always figured it was even though it’s credited to Oasis on the disc.oasisfan35 wrote:Yep, October 14th '95 though that's all Noel.Simple Torture wrote:There was an actual acoustic version of Morning Glory on the original WBCN Naked Disc that was excellent.

It was a full band gig at the Orpheum, last one of the tour leg I think and Liam tapped out after Champagne Supernova.Simple Torture wrote:I always figured it was even though it’s credited to Oasis on the disc.oasisfan35 wrote:Yep, October 14th '95 though that's all Noel.Simple Torture wrote:There was an actual acoustic version of Morning Glory on the original WBCN Naked Disc that was excellent.
