Re: Anyone else here watch F1 racing?
I have recently become an F1 fan due to Brad Pitt and a subsequent 3-week binge through all seven seasons of Drive to Survive. #Guenther4Life #HelloGene Season 4 was among the most exciting things I’ve ever watched.
I have selected Williams as my team. I like their trajectory but today wasn’t much fun. I was very sad when Russell left them. I was ready to select McLaren as my team during my season 5 watch because of Ricciardo and their relative underdog status but then stumbled across the current season rankings and figured that’d be like picking the ‘27 Yankees. No fun just hopping on a powerhouse’s bandwagon.
I hope Cadillac brings Daniel Ricciardo back.
I am getting increasing amounts of enjoyment out of Ferrari bumbling their way through races.

Ferrari are underdogs at this point. Likeable, talented drivers with an unreliable car and imbeciles in charge of race strategy.Ensign9 wrote:No fun just hopping on a powerhouse’s bandwagon.

Re: Anyone else here watch F1 racing?
yeah they are a pretty humble group there these days attitude wise
if looking for a villain this is an interesting time bc Horner just stepped down
there’s a little bit of a void
Red Bull had been the incumbent bad guy for a while
McLaren enjoying the hard work and free air after years of grinding
Super dominant but not so dominant that every race is boring now
in fact Lando v Piastri a pretty interesting saga
the new rules next year should shake things up a bit
will be interesting to see who comes out on top when those go into effect
this year kind of a wash for a lot of teams

I only supported them because they were the only US team. Fuck Haas, they haven't been able to learn anything in the past 5 years.Ello Sailor wrote:Never mind, forgot you supported Haas.

Re: Anyone else here watch F1 racing?
I wonder if they'll have merch available this year now that they have drivers? I had seen in the past that it wouldn't be available until 2026, but I hope that changes now.

Another tight race between the two teammates.
