i went to neil young solo show at lincoln center years ago

straight from work

to the bar

beers and shots with friends

no dinner

then doobie on the walk

more booze at lincoln center before the show

was so fucked up during the show ran into the bathroom at lincoln center - in a suit - and puked in the sink

left the show early and stumbled home like a lunatic

good times

it’s a shimano, 7 foot spinner reel, cork handles, primarily will be for freshwater bass/perch but could also be used for light striper in saltwater

had an accident on my bike w a pole and it got mangled so had been thinking about adding a new one

the one that broke was basically a dupe of a surf cast 8 footer i already have so figured i should mix it up a little

wanna try to do a little more freshwater in the lakes and reservoirs nearby

got a boating license

never driven a boat though :haha:

but low key lake seems like a good place to start

Haha yes, doug is just experiencing what a night out feels like for every parent. But without that rush of unbridled freedom that is all too fleeting to sustain him throughout, he may not make it.

About a week ago I stepped on a small piece of glass right in the middle of my left sole. Annoying! I thought I successfully dug it out but apparently a tiny piece stayed lodged in. I made it worse with how active I was this last week, and this tiny little injury became infected and painful. I had to go to the clinic today to get it removed properly. I couldn't believe how small it was, and that such a tiny thing could fuck up my weekend like that.

Yeah doesn’t take much. My wife will never forgive me for the one tiny beard hair I missed cleaning up after shaving that ended up embedded in the bottom of her foot.

The human body is pretty amazing at forcing out splinters naturally. Sounds like that sucker burrowed deep tho. Shitty deal.

worst splinter i ever saw in person

my cousins house. above ground pool that sat right outside the basement. wooden stairs to get to the wooden deck. we opened the basement door and our buddy ron ran across the concrete patio, up the stairs across the deck and jumped into the pool. just as he was a few feet from the pool he let out a blood curdling scream which we thought was just an act.

he gets out of the pool hopping on one leg. he sits down and raises his leg in the air for us to look

there is a splinter just under his big toe into the meet of his foot. we thankfully extracted it and it was about 1.5 inches long. i think my aunt and uncle went out and bought a big covering for the deck after that
