Kirk has said in the past that some gun deaths are worth it to preserve the Second Amendment.
I just watched the video of that quote.

I’m not a gun guy at all. Hate guns. But you should consider the full context of that quote.

50,000 (was his number) people die in cars every year, but we have decided as a society that those deaths are acceptable for the benefits that cars offer.

I think it should be very difficult and a long process for someone to purchase a gun. Background screen, Training, license, waiting period, etc. No need for assault rifles and such. But when I see people getting murdered on the bus, and hear about home break ins in my own neighborhood, man. A very small part of me considers having that protection available God forbid I ever needed it.

The only thing any of these idiots knew about him before yesterday was some clip they saw on social media from some left wing account they think is news. In reality he was the most white bread, center right, generic ass Republican to exist. To them, anyone right of center is a far right white supremacist who just wants to say the n-word and kill gays or whatever. You have to remember they are mind readers, so debating with them is pointless. They already know what you REALLY think, despite them having basically no awareness of politics beyond red team/blue team, Democrats good, Republicans bad. That's as far as they are capable of thinking.

I've seen enough snippets of Charlie Kirk here and there to know who he is (was) and what he stood for. I have not heard him speak on every topic under the sun, so I'm sure there are things that I'd turn away from. He is waaaaayyy too "Jesus is the answer to everything" for me, and again, I'm not a big gun guy. I wish he wasn't so blindly pro-Trump because Trump is such an asshole, of course. I like that he speaks his mind, but I can see how he comes off as very condescending and know-it-all-ish, and he rubs people the wrong way and he knows that, and I certainly think he knew all of this made him a target because unfortunately we have plenty of unhinged people among us. So I am not surprised that in today's day and age, to see that he was assassinated. It's fucking crazy some of you losers being happy that he was killed. The precedent of that is abysmal, and unfortunately it means that someone you do like could be next on the hit list.

Anyway, some of the issues that I did see him speak on...

The breakup of the nuclear family, and single mothers running wild with 5 kids from 5 different "fathers" is a HUGE problem in our society. It leads to all kinds of crime and gang activity, and lack of discipline, burnout for teachers, on and on and on. You cannot deny this.

I don't know how much he may have spoken about trans women playing womens sports ... but that I'm 100% against ... male bodies are different with inherent physical differences and advantages over women and it's comical that this is even a conversation.

DEI is a concept that promotes flawed decision making at its core - any sort of demographic basis that is not merit based (sexual preference, race, age, etc. etc. etc.). Yes I think diversity is good and really it's one of the key foundations that America has been built on. There's a difference when you force it on people to the point where unqualified candidates are wedged into jobs and such.

Criminals should stay in prison. I don't have an answer for people who are wrongfully accused ... that's a problem. But for these career criminals where jail is a revolving door, that needs to stop. For these people who are caught murdering strangers on camera - no leniency (and certainly no fucking go fund me campaigns to defend them OH MY GOD).

I think pretty much every point you put forth in this little burp-out is incorrect.

how much time do you think there is in a day? just about every one of your opinions is a typical fragile white guy. it's fine, i have friends like you and make fun of them, too. i'm more surprised you have a rational opinions on gun control.

Hey Bammer, Julian Edelman wasn't nearly as big and strong as nearly every one of his opponents on the field, so should he have been disqualified from the sport?

It speaks volumes that you are surprised a person can have different views on different issues and doesn’t 100% align with groupthink on all issues.

Dude (so far) doesn't have much of a "political" history apparently, and didn't vote in the last two elections. I'm sure more will come to the surface, but so far nothing screams deranged woke libtard.

Even if he were a "woke libtard" it's anecdotal, yet many on the right will say it's indicative of the state of the party as a whole. If it came out that he were a far right extremist, they will say it doesn't matter. We all know he's just one crazy person with a gun not representative of anything other than the fact that any crazy person with a gun can kill anybody they want to if they have a good enough plan.

i think if we see the etching turn out to be black marker it is probably the administration who did it :)
