I have been completely out of the loop. I had heard this was being made, but had no clue it was coming out now. May go Tuesday night to discount night after my niece's softball game.

It's fine. Kinda sleepy. Low effort. Probably better off just rewatching the original.

Revisited this the other night and liked it even more. Very funny, and I think - surprisingly - it actually has a little insight into why aging musicians continue to perform (beyond just, you know, money). It's a fitting and sweet followup/sendoff. Very happy we got this movie while everyone was still around.

Just finished it. Derek’s admission during the credits was hilarious. I thought it captured the spirit of the original and was a lot of fun. I guess the Stonehenge concert will be the definite last thing now.

I loved this. They did such a good job of making this feel like an actual continuation rather than a rehash/fan service sort of deal. I laughed my ass off for a good chunk of it. My favorites were the Paul McCartney scene and the Nigel Pedalboard shit. I dont know how they do it but they manage to capture exactly what its like being in a fucking band yet making it relatably funny. Derek Smalls just sitting there the entire time mostly silent while Nigel and David talk about chord changes/teaching a song. Nigel and his pedalboard. Man alive.

However, the funniest fucking part was during Stonehenge. The intro. You hear off camera a fan yell "play stonehenge!" while they are actually playing it.

Absolutely hilarious.

I still haven't seen this. I think I want to warm-up properly by watching Spinal Tap 1 again first.

Maybe over xmas break as I hibernate
