I really hope this isn't the reason we don't see LV for two years again

Bernthal isn't a British actor from the 1950s. Defending him doesn't help your dumbass bullshit hipster purist agenda, you dope.LoathedVermin72 wrote:That’s it! I’ve had enough!
I didn't know Holland was in this. I commented on Bernthal because Argo mentioned him.
Lick both of my nuts and a lil bit of my taint. Just a lil.

No way does LV piss his legacy away over Bernthal. Dude straight up sucks.tree_ wrote:I really hope this isn't the reason we don't see LV for two years again
Also, LV was gone for longer than two years. I counted every day. Cried every night.
Fuck that guy tho.

Well you can’t have The Odyssey without a few Greek Gods.E.H. Ruddock wrote:Just all the big names in this makes it feel like it’s going to be trying too hard

After being disappointed with Oppenheimer, my expectations for this were nonexistent. But then I saw a teaser and I'll be honest I'm pretty excited.

Who do you Lupita Nyong'o is playing? I assume Helen, the beauty that launched 1000 ships

My wife asked me to name her fantasy football team this year and the best pun I could come up with was Helen of Troy Polamalu.

Re: Christopher Nolan's Homer's The Odyssey
Not to be pedantic, but Helen was in the Iliad, not the Odyssey. But I could see this having either flashbacks or taking in elements of Iliad to give background, although at that point it'd probably be like 10 hours long. The Argonaut wrote:Who do you Lupita Nyong'o is playing? Not to be pedantic, but Helen is in The Odyssey, too. Telemachus goes to Sparta to see if anyone knows about his father and she is there. Maybe read a bookSimple Torture wrote:Not to be pedantic, but Helen was in the Iliad, not the Odyssey. I've read it in the original Greek. Directly from a thousand year old papyrus. In the basement of the Archaeological Museum in Delphi. By candlelight. Soo....

This thread should be re-titled to "Universal Pictures' Christopher Nolan's Homer's The Odyssey." Bonus points if you also add the name of the publishing house that put out the definitive version of the novel.
