I don’t remember ever even seeing a Cracker Barrel let alone eating at one.

We have them up here in Michigan. It's nothing special, but I always enjoyed the little peg game.

dusted off some of my chops from my past life in the IT world to get a printer/scanner working again. someone had curbed it last week, so i snatched it up on the off chance it'd be something i could fix. these things go for around $500-700 AUD, so pretty nice pick. will be nice to have printing and scanning ability at home again.

We recently had a toilet replaced in the kids bathroom, and until a few days ago (I rarely ever use it) I had no idea it was a push button on the top to flush. I stood there like an idiot for ten seconds trying to figure out how to flush.

:haha:

on a similar note, i am always amazed at a new hotel or airbnb how many different iterations there are of knobs/handles to get the shower going

it's like every person wants to install some new design that finally cracks the artistic code of what is best to turn to get water on and what to turn to maker water warm

as if this is a topic we need brave design exploration

there's never labeling either

sometimes the secrets are hidden in water spouts

so you have to decode da vinci's latest creation through trial and error

in order to begin the process of washing your ass

Our house has these minimalist dials in the bathrooms to turn on/off the water. They look cool, but my kid can never turn them off with her wet, soapy hands, so she’s always calling me into the latrine to shut the water off for her. Super annoying.

I literally had to take a photo of our shower taps here in Spain and get Chat GPT to explain to me how to adjust the water temperature. I couldn't figure it out and it was set to "scalding".
