Talked to my surgeon yesteday (one month out from actual surgey)

will be getting a titanium hip
should be on Short Term Disability for a month then I can return to work (if not a little sooner)
biggest worries for a hip replacement are infection, blood clot and falling down.

Hip replacement recoveries amaze me. They’ll have you up and walking back and forth thru the hallway about 29 minutes after you’re back in your room.

get there 6am
surgery at 8am
surgey done between 9 and 10a
if all is good out the door at noon
PT in home for two weeks
PT for 2 weeks at a facility (sorry wease i hope its not one of yours the way you describe your employees )
back to work as long as i can manage the pain

incredibly nice weather today

saw some crazies doing crazy stuff with waverunners in the surf

crazy-ass crazies riding into the waves and getting air almost 90 degree angle and landing
